Steve M. Bailo, P.E. – Consultant / President


Steve Bailo is an engineering consultant who has worked as an expert in the area of accident reconstruction for over 20 years.  He has provided accident reconstruction and vehicle dynamic analysis of all types and complexities of automotive accidents involving passenger vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians and light & heavy –duty trucks.   Steve began his career in accident reconstruction in 1991 as an engineer with Biodynamic Research Corporation (BRC).  He then moved to M.P. Holcomb Engineering (MPH) in 1995 where he became a partner in 2004.   In 2009 he formed Accident Reconstruction Engineering Consultants, Inc. (A-REC).  He has served as a testifying expert in hundreds of product liability and negligence cases.

Prior to working in the area of accident reconstruction, Steve worked as an engineering consultant with Mechanical Dynamics (MDI) where he performed dynamic simulations of mechanical systems using ADAMS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems) software.  After graduating from Michigan Technological University (MTU), Steve served as a project engineer with Southwest Mobile Systems, where he was responsible for designing, testing and manufacturing heavy-duty trucks and trailers for TACOM, the Tanks-Automotive Command of the US Army.
